HOWLONG is an attractive riverside town on the New South Wales - Victorian border. The name HOWLONG is derived from the Aboriginal Native language,’Oolong,’ meaning a haunt of native companions, (Brolga Birds). HOWLONG is situated in the Shire of COROWA.
Our Little River Town, HOWLONG, has a population of around 2,500 (Census) that is increasing due to families attracted to the area by the low-cost housing, nearby schooling for children, sporting facilities and the niceties of Country Living.
Visitors come to HOWLONG for Murray River fishing, water sports, and after a good catch or water ski visitors can easily drive to the many local wineries of Rutherglen and North East Victoria.

If these are not enough it only takes a 30 minute drive to Albury-Wodonga for visits to the SS and A Club, the Commercial Club or a large number of exquisite dining houses, entertainment venues and more shopping facilities.
